Easter Weekend Watching

This long weekend, The Sydney‘s team have each got a jam packed schedule of culture to ensure the time flies by with top quality cultural content. The highlights include the Live Stream of some of Mozart’s great works by pianist Benjamin Hochman on Saturday morning and the Sydney Philhamonia Choir’s Handel: Messiah on Easter Sunday with thanks to the Sydney Opera House.

Here’s the full list of where we’ll be tuning in:

FRIDAY 10TH APRIL 2020

10am: The Philadelphia Orchestra presents Wagner’s Siegfried Idyllwatch here

8pm: Salzburg Easter Festival presents Leoncavallo’s opera Pagliacci. Available from 8pm (Sydney) for 48 hours here

8pm:*  Australia National Theatre – The Dapto Chaser available on Friday and Saturday night here

10pm: Dutch National Opera streams Wagner’s Parsifalwatch here

SATURDAY 11TH APRIL 2020

9:30am: Live Stream Performance by pianist Benjamin Hochmann, presented by 92nd Street Y and includes Mozart’s Fantasia in C minor and Piano Sonatas No.14 in C minor and No.12 in F Major. Yes Please! Watch here.

MONDAY 13th APRIL 2020

11am: Exploring the digital resources available in Australia, sample of where we’ll be delving into below:

3pm: Australian Ballet’s The Sleeping Beauty is available to watch until the 17 April. Tune in here

8pm: Ticket Booking for Post-Covid19 concerts and performances.
After a full weekend of great artistic content, we’re grateful to these companies for making their work available for our enjoyment online for free. We’re also now longing for the days when we can experience the magic of live performance again. We have a list as long as our arm of companies we’ll be booking tickets for, but here’s a small sample:
