Oxana Shevchenko and the Tinalley String Quartet

Oxana Shevchenko is internationally recognised as a pianist of outstanding artistry, sensibility, and versatility and is equally in demand both as a soloist and as a chamber musician. She impressed the jury of the 2016 Sydney International Piano Competition, making it through as the only female grand finalist and prize winner for the best Piano Quintet.

It seems only fitting that the winner of the best Piano Quintet prize, should give a recital with the exquisite Tinalley String Quartet as part of her 2019 tour. Quartet members, Adam Chalabi, Lerida Delbridge, Justin Williams and Patrick Murphy had the pleasure of working with Andrey Gugnin in 2018 at the Coriole Festival in South Australia and are delighted to be playing with another Competition laureate in 2019.

Internationally acclaimed for its ‘addictive sound’, ‘intuitive’ music making and ‘technical virtuosity’, the Tinalley String Quartet has established itself as one of Australia’s finest string quartets and most awarded classical music exports.

The Sydney welcomes Oxana to Australia for her debut tour and her exclusive concert at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with the Tinalley String Quartet.

Free pre-concert talk at 2pm.
