Dawen Li gave his debut recital at the age of twelve. He received his Master of Music and Artist Diploma in Piano Performance at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas.
As well as recitals and performances throughout China, Europe, Brazil, Canada and USA, he has presented masterclasses and lectures in China and Mongolia – and several performances in Beijing’s Forbidden City Concert Hall. He has performed as a soloist with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, the New York Concerti Sinfonietta and the China Youth Philharmonic String Orchestra. From 2008 to 2012, Dawen participated in the Beijing International Piano Festival and the 2015 Banff Piano Master Class in Canada. He has received scholarships to attend the Piano Texas International Academy & Festival.
Dawen is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts: Piano Performance degree at Texas Christian University under Dr Tamás Ungár. Since 2018 he has been the Assistant to the Director of the Piano Texas International Academy & Festival.
