Since his orchestral debut with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra at age eleven, Tristan Teo has performed with the Minnesota Orchestra, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and Gulf Coast Symphony. He has given solo concerts in the United States, in Canada, France, Germany and Italy.

Tristan holds both a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music from The Juilliard School, studying under Jerome Lowenthal. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Juilliard with Yoheved Kaplinsky and Steven Laitz. Tristan has studied conducting with Maestro Jeffrey Milarsky. As a composer, he has written works under the guidance of Philip Lasser, including pieces for violin-piano duo, chamber orchestra, and percussion ensemble. In 2019, Tristan was appointed adjunct faculty to the Music Theory and Analysis Department at The Juilliard School.

Tristan has been a featured artist on radio stations including CBC Radio Canada and WQXR New York performing Rachmaninoff and Liszt at The Greene Space.
