Champions Fund

With your support of our Champions FundThe Sydney can get back to presenting the world’s most incredible young pianists in amazing concerts throughout Australia, in special masterclasses for aspiring Australian pianists and in inspirational secondary school workshops.

Like every arts organisation, The Sydney has been severely challenged by 2020.  The unexpected loss in income from the July 2020 competition and the costs that go with cancelling such an event have been considerable. However, we have been able to weather the storm with the generosity of our enlightened donor family and the support of our patrons in the Sydney Piano Marathon and Showbiz Classics concerts and webcast.

Following the Online Competition in July 2021, we are planning to get our pianists back on stage performing in concerts, masterclasses and workshops throughout Australia. These include a regional and national city concert tour of Australia with the winner of the 2021 competition, and a series of concerts in the run-up to the next live Sydney International Piano Competition planned for 2023.

Only with your support can we stay true to our mission of providing career-building and life-changing prizes and opportunities to the world’s best young pianists – and ensuring all Australians can enjoy the breath-taking talent and beautiful virtuosity of these young musicians.

Your tax-deductible donation to our Champions Fund will not only keep us on-course through this challenging time, it will directly help the pianists and keep music alive throughout Australia as we champion talented young pianists on their career journey.

Thank you for being part of the future of The Sydney and these aspiring musicians lives with your donation the Champions Fund.
