Support Composing the Future

Make your donation work harder!

Creative Partnerships Australia will match every dollar you give with another dollar – essentially doubling your support to Composing the Future.

Composing the Future is a new competition created to support Australian composers and pianists at a time when supporting our artists is crucial.  Australian composers will be invited to submit a new or unpublished solo piano piece for consideration by a panel of eminent Australian pianists. The panel, led by The Sydney’s Artistic Director, Piers Lane AO, will select a winning work which will be awarded a major cash prize and receive a premiere by the winner of the 2021 Sydney International Online Piano Competition. In addition, up to five other entries will be awarded cash prizes and will be given public performances by the jury pianists during 2022.

Be part of this new project and add your support: inspire Australian creativity, increase the library of  important Australian piano works and provide opportunities for performance of these works by Australian pianists!  A special collaboration with Creative Partnerships Australia means that every dollar you donate will be matched, up to $25,000, making your donation work harder for the artists that we want to support.

An anonymous donor has turbo charged our fundraising with a significant founding donation.  With their support we’re well on the way to reaching our fundraising goal, and we ask you to join them to ensure we get there by 31 May 2021.

Your donation (over $2) is tax deductible, your support will be credited on our website, social media platforms and concert programs and you will know that your ‘doubled’ dollar has made a difference to Australian artists and Australian creativity.
